KRecordings’ Label Director Travis Baron has been playing and supporting  techno’s best for well over a decade now. Inspired by local Seattle Techno jocks back in the late 90′s, Travis started throwing one offs and club nights around town winning huge accolades. Those early days helped to define his own sound. Having had the opportunity to open for techno superfreaks like Kevin Saunderson, Neil Landstrom, Cari Lekebusch, Adam X, Frankie Bones, Woody Mcbride and other top tier techno professionals early on Travis began to understand the power of techno and how it can inspire and shape his own techno community.

After years of promoting events on his own Baron teamed up with Seattle local destroyer M’Chateau In 2007  to produce the Knightriders Micro Rave Series.  Since then Knightriders have be responsible for producing renowned techno parties and club nights.  Always working to help cultivate the best in underground Seattle Techno entertainment Travis Baron also produces the NW’s premier  DJ talent competition “Battle of the Megamix” sponsored by RANE and SERATO.

In 2010 Travis Baron met James Grindle,  soon it became aparent that these two had similer ideas about what they thought a New Modern Techno Label should sound like and represent.  Before long they had KRecordings’ first EP by Seattle’s own Mathew Anderson with a remix in the works by Chicago’s Angel Alanis.  More music began flying in as the word spread of a label dedicated to New Modern Techno from the Pacific Northwest.  As they say “The rest is history”.

Other projects:   Travis is also working with multiple artist dedicated to Seattle Culture, Music and Arts by producing  ”Static Glide” and “Womb” events.   Travis also volunteers at Seattle Ally Activation projects (along with Grindle) to help and support
